Police claimed to have busted two gangs of robbers and arrested their four members for their alleged involvement in robbery, snatching and street crimes.
Superintendent of Police (SP) City Abdul Salam Khalid said that during the various operations, a police team led by SHO Police Station Shaheed Gulfat Hussain Ashfaq Khan and SHO Agha Mir Jani Shah Abdullah Jalal busted four members of two dangerous gangs involved in street crimes.
Abdul Salam Khalid said that the accused were identified as Muhammad Sameer, Hassan, Sajid, and Arif residents of Peshawar.
The accused used to escape by snatching valuable mobile phones, cash and other valuables from the citizens on a motorcycle.
Police busted the above-mentioned accused with the help of modern scientific and human intelligence-based operations.
During the initial investigation, the arrested accused have revealed their involvement in several robberies.
A total of 18 valuable mobile phones, 30,000 cash, two pistols used in various incidents and a motorcycle have also been recovered from the possession of the accused.
