Police have arrested two suspects, including an alleged motorcycle lifter, during separate operations in the city and recovered two stolen motorcycles and an illegal pistol from their possession.
The arrests were made by Agha Mir Jani Shah police under the supervision of DSP Yakatoot Asif Sharif on the directives of SP City Shahid Adnan.
According to police, SHO Shah Riaz Afridi and ASI Israr Khan, along with other personnel, arrested Dawood, a resident of Ganj, for his alleged involvement in motorcycle theft.
In a separate action, police arrested Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Mast Colony, for allegedly possessing an illegal firearm.
Police said two motorcycles and a pistol were recovered during the operations.
Cases have been registered against the suspects and further investigation was underway, police said.
