Govt spends Rs2.7 billion on treatment of people in a month, says statistics
PESHAWAR
Health Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has released statistics of the Sehat Insaf Card.
During the last month, the provincial government has spent Rs 2.76 billion on the free health facilities.
As per the statistics, 1,13,000 people have received treatment through the card in different private and public sector hospitals of the province.
The statistics show that more than 64,000 women, 49,000 men and two transgenders have been provided with free of cost health facilities in the same period of time.
More than 12000 patients from Swat, 10,000 from Peshawar, 90,000 from Mardan received free treatment in the month on Sehat Card.
More than 5,000 people have undergone free heart treatment and seven people received kidney transplants in the province on Sehat Card.
