Chief Secretary (CS) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Imdadullah Bosal on Thursday directed the authorities concerned to take strict action against hoarders and profiteers. Chairing a review meeting on the establishment of cheap markets (Susta-Bazars) in Ramadan across the province, CS Imdadullah Bosal also ordered a coordinated strategy to provide maximum relief to the citizens during the holy month of Ramadan.
The meeting was attended by the concerned administrative secretaries and representatives of the Utility Store Corporation and other senior officials. The forum was informed that district administrations of the province have completed their preparations for the establishment of Susta-Bazars in their respective districts ahead of holy month.
It was said that availability of essential commodities in these markets would be ensured for the facilitation of the poor section of the society.
Apart from this, Deputy Commissioners should also organize Ramadan dinner in their districts with the support of philanthropists and charities. The Chief Secretary said that the availability of essential commodities in the markets across the province and supply according to the official price list should be ensured in every case.
