Local media persons announced boycott of Khyber Rifles in protest against misbehaviour done to the President of Landi Kotal press club.
It is to be mentioned here that on the last day, on the occasion of the converge of the Pakistan sports fair, Frontier Corp.(FC)soldiers behaved badly to the senior journalist and President of the local press club,Khalil Jibran.
An extra-ordinary meeting was conducted in the press club that was attended by the majority of the members of the organization.
The journalist community condemned the ill-treatment of the troops and said beside all kinds of support to the forces, their harsh attitude to the local media was in progress that was pitiable.
Until and unless the Khyber Rifles officials revise their approach to the journalists, they will not give up their protest, they added.
They vowed that they would continue their journalism to serve the downtrodden people of the tribal society.
A five members committee was also formulated to address the matter being faced by the local journalists.
