An important meeting held here on Friday with Chief Traffic Officer Shahzaa Umar Abbas Babar in chair, reviewed action plan for utilizing the services volunteer force for traffic management.
The meeting which was held at the Traffic Headquarters Gulbahar attended by the in charge of different sectors of volunteer force of City Traffic Police Peshawar. The participants of the meeting was informed about the plan for the next three months.
Traffic Police chief on this occasion said that he along with the officers and personnel of City Traffic Police Peshawar.
By going to markets, roads and bases, traders and drivers will be informed about traffic rules, including seat belts, helmets, lane line discipline, zebra crossing, one-wheeling and other traffic rules.
The pamphlets will also be distributed so that more people can be made aware of the traffic rules.
On this occasion, Chief Traffic Officer Umar Abbas Babar said that City Traffic Police Peshawar is continuing to educate the citizens about traffic rules, while the aim of giving awareness through the Traffic Volunteer Force is to educate as many citizens as possible about traffic rules.
He said that various measures have been taken to provide travel facilities to the citizens, including FM Radio 88.6’ social networking websites and other measures.
The citizens should ensure the implementation of traffic rules so that accidents do not occur.
