Urges people to cooperate with enumerators for accurate demographic information

Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Imdadullah Bosal has urged the people to cooperate with the enumerators’ teams for the seventh digital population and housing censuses in the province, saying enumeration of human resources provides the government with accurate demographic information and enables policy makers to enact future policies and planning for sustainable development.
This he said in a message to the parents after just inaugurating the 7th digital national population and housing census here at Chief Secretary House.
On this occasion, officials of the Pakistan Statistical Office and census staff started a house census from the Chief Secretary’s residence and filled out necessary information to kick start the digital census in KP.
CS-KP Imdadullah Bosal registered the statistical number of his house and the staff recorded their data through tablets.
He said that houses census and head count are necessary for development and expressed hope that the teams designated for the project would perform their duties with utmost hard work and achieve the objectives.
According to the Pakistan Statistics Authority the 7th digital population and houses census will be conducted in two different phases.
The first phase commenced from March 1 to April 1 in which a three-day house census and statistical numbers will be applied to the buildings.
In the second phase, fully trained enumerators would be using tablets to fill out census information visiting door to door, while geo-tagging the structures.
