MCMC prepares public servants for higher responsibilities: DG NIM

Mid-Career Management Course (MCM) is a crucial training program for public servants, preparing them for higher responsibilities and emerging development challenges in the modern world.
These views were expressed by Director General National Institute of Management Peshawar Captain ® Usman Gul while addressing trainee officers of Mid-Career Management Course on the eve of the inaugural session of the 37th MCMC here at NIM Peshawar.
While addressing the participating officers, he emphasized that by focusing on academic activities with a positive attitude towards learning and self-improvement, the trainee officers will emerge from this training as highly improved civil servants, poised to contribute to the betterment of the public and national development.
He urged them to wholeheartedly engage in the training process to maximize the benefits of the training.
He also urged them to follow austerity measures as initiated by the Federal Government as the country was facing financial difficulties and it becomes our shared responsibility to save every single penny we can by judicious utilization of the resources.
He highlighted the significance of information technology and said that it has, on one side, facilitated the public service delivery but at the same time, it has given birth to many new challenges and therefore, it is incumbent upon the public servants to learn new IT skills so as to ensure effective and efficient public service delivery.
He said that the training is designed to impart the requisite IT, leadership and management skills to the participants to enhance their competencies and make them better public servants.
He also praised the crucial role which is played by the civil servants in national harmony and economic prosperity.
On this occasion, Chief Instructor MCMC Muhammad Tayyab gave a detailed briefing to the participants and explained the objectives and dynamics of the course.
