LAHORE: As many as 29,000 grade 1-4 posts in various government departments have been abolished on the order of Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman. The Finance Department has also issued a letter to the autonomous institutions to abolish 6,600 posts. It has abolished all the posts lying vacant for more than a year and also asked all the departments for the details of the vacant posts. DNA
