Trader kidnapped for 0.5m dollars ransom recovered

In a joint operation the Nowshera and Mardan police on Friday recovered a trader, kidnapped for ransom from Saddar area of Peshawar and arrested two kidnappers.
CCPO Peshawar told media persons that a trader named Haji Muhammad Akram was kidnapped from Peshawar and the kidnappers had demanded 0.5 million dollars from his family to release him.
The family members of the abductee had informed the police about the incident and provided the phone number from which the calls for ransom were received.
Soon after receiving information, the police started an investigation on scientific lines and traced the abductee in Nowshera. After confirmation, the Mardan and Nowshera police conducted a joint operation and succeeded in the recovery of the kidnapped trader.
During the operation, the police also arrested two of the kidnappers and shifted them to the police station for interrogation and further legal procedure.
The kidnappee was later reunited with his family members who were highly appreciative of the intime action and professionalism of the police force.
