ISLAMABAD
Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued detailed judgment regarding rejection of bail plea of PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi in cipher case. Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamer Farooq has released detailed judgment.
It has been said in the judgment that a person who incites to crime or commits conspiracy for crime or assists in crime will be seen like prime accused. The sentence is life imprisonment or capital punishment as against the clauses imposed on Chairman PTI.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi will also be seen in this perspective.
Doubtlessly bail is not stopping punishment but the courts are careful in granting bail to the prisoners of life imprisonment or death.
The decision said the bail cannot be granted in such cases if no credible reason is there. Trial has already been started. The exemption of 248 is meant for only official duty. Shah Mehmood Qureshi is charged with delivering speech in public meeting. The charge of delivering speech in public meeting on March 27 does not fall under official duty.
The court rejects the bail plea and directs that trial be completed within four weeks.
