PESHAWAR: United Nations International Children Education Fund (UNICEF) regional director for South Asia Sanjay Wijesekera called on Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary on Wednesday and discussed issues related to different priority sectors. Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary appreciated UNICEF’s services across several sectors. UNICEF has supported Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in every difficult time, said the Chief Secretary. “We will endeavour to expand government outreach to bring improvements in service delivery,” he said. He expressed the government’s desire to collaborate with UNICEF in setting up child protection units across the province. Additionally, assistance in primary and secondary education, especially girls education, and capacity building of teachers to improve education standards, he added. APP
