‘difficulties’
ISLAMABAD
In a letter addressed to Election Commission (EC), former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry has announced to boycott the election along with his group.
In the letter written to EC Fawad Chaudhry said he was arrested so that he may withdraw from election. Our workers were intimidated and threatened. Our nomination papers were rejected without any justification.
Fawad Chaudhry wrote in his letter nomination papers of his brother were rejected but NAB made him co-accused with him.
He further said in the letter that EC has failed in discharging its obligations. Demanding resignation from EC is wastage of time.
I am ready to face all tribulations but it is not proper to make my voters, friends and family members suffer more difficulties. In this situation I and my group announce to boycott the election completely.
It is pertinent to mention here Fawad Chaudhry was candidate for National Assembly seat from NA-60, NA-61 Jhelum.
