Residents and transporters of Gorgora area of tehsil Landi Kotal demanded of the police, administration and tribal elders to settle their monetary dispute with a local who owes to pay us seventy thousand two hundred dollars for the last ten years.
Addressing to a press conference in Landi Kotal press club district Khyber Arshad Afridi, Nadeemullah and Riazullah said that in 2010, Akbarullah Afridi Sadu Khel, had collected $17200 on behalf of them as truck accident expenses in Kabul but did not handover to them so far.
On approaching the transport contractor Haji Taj Muhammad Afridi, he confirmed that Akbarullah Afridi had received the mentioned sum from his company.
They had repeatedly asked for the return of their money but their opponent failed to pay their debt, they remarked.
Scores of applications had been filed with police and administration for resolving of the dispute but to in avail, they added and blamed that brother of their borrower who was police utilized his influence in government offices to decline his application.
They requested the concerned authorities to take immediate initiative to settle their dispute with the influential opponent and assist them to get their due right.
