Price of petroleum products likely to be increased

Price of petroleum products is likely to be increased from July 01.
A big increase in the prices is expected if levy charges are further increased by the government.
The price of petrol is likely to be increased by Rs 7.54 per liter and diesel by Rs 9.84 per liter for next fifteen days.
In case levy charges is increased by Rs 5 per liter then the price of petrol is likely to be enhanced by Rs 12.54 per liter and diesel by Rs 14.84.
Sources said the final decision to determine the prices will be made in consultation with finance division on June 30.
OGRA will present its recommendations to government on June 30 for consideration.
The prices of kerosene oil and light diesel oil are likely to be affected too.
A hike amounting to Rs 7.70 per liter is expected in the price of kerosene oil and Rs 8.73 in price of light diesel .
The government has given proposal to increase levy charges maxim Rs 80 per liter in the proposed finance bill.
