Supreme Court (SC) has accepted unconditional apology of MQM leader Mustafa Kamal and senator Faisal Vawda besides withdrawing contempt of court notice.
The court gave two weeks time to Faisal Siddiqui counsel for TV channels to file reply again.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa has said in his order show cause notice issued to Faisal Vawda and Mustafa Kamal is withdrawn. It is expected both the readers will stand by replies filed by them. If it is done again so then only apology will not be accepted.
This order was issued on Friday.
The CJP remarked if some one calls any one thief and robber and media says only it has done reporting. Is it correct. Should such independent media be allowed or otherwise. Independent media and freedom of expression are two separate things.
