WANA
The students sponsored by Wana Welfare Association (WAWA), a non-governmental organization, grab top position from all the educational boards across the province in the recent SSC and Intermediate exam , it include Cadet College Wana, Cadet College Razmak, Cadet College Spinkai, Tameer Watan Public School Abbottabad and Modern Age Hazara.
So far, thousands of orphans and poor children have benefited from WAWA scholarship programs.
Due to this welfare organization, thousands of children have quenched their thirst for knowledge and achieved a high position in the society.
Wawa raised the slogan of higher education in the war-torn and military operation-affected Wana at a time when Wana was a victim of terrorism and the people living here were asking for life instead of education.
The association has brought a revolution in the field of education , health, forestry, and agriculture has no parallel in the region . Last year, Wawa successfully completed the transplanting of more than two lakh wild olives in south Waziristan(Lower) , which will prove to be a game changer in the economic development of the region.
WAWA also planted huge numbers during the annual plantation campaign organized in different parts of the areas , which play an important role in controlling the problems faced in the region regarding climate change.
Umma Children’s Academy and Zindawar Schools System are the significant achievements of WAWA.
In these institutions the poor students of the area are getting free education in the best environment on wawa scholarship, with excellent accommodation and free education to more than thousands of orphan children of district South Waziristan.
