Laborers and daily wagers in Torkham criticized Afghan border security officials for restrain their entry to Afghanistan besides holding proper travelling documents and asked for review of the restricted policy.
Hundreds of laborers and daily wagers on Saturday gathered in front of the immigration office in Torkham while carrying black flags to lodge their protest against blocking their entry to Afghanistan.
They urged the Pak officials to persuade the Afghan counterpart to revisit the policy, restricting their entry across the border for unknown reasons.
As per the border law, they had proper passports and visas to move across to Afghanistan; however the Afghan officials, deployed at zero point, had blocked their entry that was injustice to them.
We cross the border to earn three time meals for our families, they added and said, containing their entry to Afghanistan equivalent to compel thousands of their families’ members to starve.
They demanded of the officials of both neighboring countries to have mercy on them and lift restrictions on their entry to Afghanistan.
