Faqirabad Police bust various gangs involved in street crimes

On the instructions of SP Faqirabad Division Syed Talal Ahmed Shah, police have dismantled 11 organized gangs involved in car snatching, motorcycle lifting, theft, and street crimes during a series of operations in the city.
The operations were conducted under the supervision of DSP Investigation Sajid Mumtaz Khan, SDPO Gulbahar Sajjad Hussain, and SDPO Faqirabad Umar Afridi. Teams led by SHO Gulbahar Police Station Fawad Khan, SHO Faqirabad Police Station Rizwan Barki, and SHO Pahari Pura Police Station Javed Marwat carried out the successful raids.
A total of 29 suspects, including two women working as domestic helpers, were arrested during the crackdown. The suspects were part of organized gangs that had been actively involved in street crimes, robberies, car snatching, motorcycle lifting, and theft across Peshawar.
During the operations, police recovered stolen property worth millions, including Rs 20.6 million, two vehicles, 13 motorcycles, and 50 valuable mobile phones. Additionally, weapons used in various criminal activities were seized.
The arrested suspects confessed to committing numerous crimes within the jurisdiction of various police stations in Peshawar during the initial investigation. Recovered money, vehicles, motorcycles, and mobile phones have been returned to their rightful owners.
SP Faqirabad Division emphasized the police’s commitment to eradicating street crimes and ensuring the safety of citizens, stating that the ongoing operations will continue under a zero-tolerance policy.
