LAHORE
A video of setting himself on fire by a man and trying to commit self-immolation in Lahore High Court (LHC) has come to light.
According to report case of one Asif Javed was pending hearing in the court of justice Shujat Ali Khan of LHC.
Asif Javed is stated to be hailing from Khanewal. He was rescued and shifted to near hospital immediately.
The video of incident has come to open where a man can be seen burning in fire. Some police mean and others are trying to extinguish fire.
Asif Javed had filed appeal against his dismissal from service.
According to report he was sacked by private company in 2016.
Labor court nullified the order of his sacking from service in 2019 and ordered to reinstate him in service.
Private company challenged labor court decision in National Industrial Relations Commission (NIRC). On November 23, 2020 NIRC dismissed appeal of private company.
Private company filed case in high court in December 2020.
The case of plaintiff Asif Javed is pending hearing in LHC since 2020.
LHC adjourned hearing of the case till April 8.
