Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Barrister Mohammad Saif has criticized the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for prioritizing his position over the province’s pressing issues.
Reacting to the governor’s letter to the federal government, Mr Saif stated that the governor was more concerned about securing his seat than addressing the province’s challenges.
He urged the governor to write to the federation demanding the province’s due financial rights, including the payment of arrears and a fair share in the NFC Award.
Dr Saif further stated that while Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was actively working for the province’s welfare, the governor remained limited to issuing letters.
He likened the Governor House to a “post office with a rejected postman,” criticizing its lack of action.
He also highlighted the ongoing security issues in the province, accusing the federal government of neglecting KP’s financial needs despite the burden of terrorism.
Mr Saif lamented that Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has never pressed the federation for KP’s rightful funds but instead engages in political maneuvering.
He urged the governor to fight for the province’s rights rather than indulging in mere rhetoric.
