Professor Jehanzeb Khan Chairman, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mardan (BISEM) said that an attempt is being made to reform the examination system of the board due to which a powerful mafia is opposing it. He expressed these views while talking to journalists.
He said that he has no personal agenda but is trying to bring about reforms in the examination system.
He argued that after finishing the private school halls and not fulfilling the interest of some people in the current examination a power mafia started criticizing him on social media. He added that despite all these he will continue his struggle.
He said that he has clearly told the examination duty officials performing duties in different examination halls that the officials on duty in the center whose paper was leaked will not be able to escape punishment. He said that all students are equal and everyone will be treated the same and no one will be allowed to cheat.
He said that the Chief Minister, Education Minister, Education Secretary and other officers are in favor of reforms in the board and are fully supporting him in this regard. He said that the same teachers who teach the subject will check the papers.
He said that millions of rupees were spent on open inspection, which was of no use, due to which open inspection has been stopped. He argued that duties have been stopped in the choice center.
He said that a list of teachers for duty in the examination was asked from the District Education Officers, along with the list from the provincial directorate. In the future, there will be an effort to bring more transparency in assigning examination duties.
He said that he himself is visiting the examination hall. He said that the media and civil society should support him in this regard.
