Tehsil Council presiding officer Wali Muhammad Shinwari and councillors disapproved poor participation of various government department officers in tehsil council meeting and declared it anti-Local Government Act.
In a press statement issued on Friday Wali Muhammad Shinwari and other councilors’ regretted that repeatedly the officials of different departments have remained absent from the council meeting that showed their least interest in addressing issues being faced by the laymen.
They disapproved of the arrogant and irresponsible behavior of the government officials towards the elected representatives of the people and sought legal action against them.
They came hard on the Assistant Commissioner (AC), Landi Kotal who is administrative highup and responsible for efficiency of the government departments.
Neither the AC nor the departments officers participate in the tehsil council that is against the Local Government Act, they added.
The councilors appealed to Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Commissioner Peshawar Division to take serious action and ensured participation of the departmental officers in the council moot to hunt for immediate resolution of the masses problems.
