Benazir Bhutto Women University holds seminar on emergency preparedness

PESHAWAR: The Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar (SBBWU) organised a seminar on “War Strategies and Self-Defense” for students. The event featured expert trainers Dr. Fozia Jabin from the Computer Science department and Dr. Sadaf Ambreena from the Urdu department. During the seminar, participants gained valuable insights into emergency preparedness, strategies for responding to attacks during the day and night, and the roles and responsibilities of both the university administration and students during times of conflict. The students were not only equipped with essential knowledge but also entrusted with the responsibility of sharing their learnings with their peers in their respective departments. Addressing the gathering, Professor Dr. Safia Ahmad (T.I), Vice Chancellor of SBBWU, emphasized the importance of self-defense skills for female students, stating that it is crucial for them to be able to protect themselves under all circumstances. She also announced plans to organize practical training sessions in collaboration with relevant institutions, further enhancing the university’s commitment to student safety and empowerment.
