Funeral prayers offered for martyred policeman in Peshawar

The funeral prayers of Shahenshah, a police constable martyred in an attack by unidentified motorcyclists near Shahjiabad cemetery in the jurisdiction of Shahpur Police Station, were offered with full official honors at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines on Saturday.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Qasim Ali Khan, SSP Operations Masood Ahmed, SSP Investigation Noor Jamal, SP Headquarters Ali Gauhar, Divisional SPs, officials of the Pakistan Army, and family members of the martyr attended the funeral.
A smartly turned-out contingent of police personnel presented a salute to the martyr, while floral wreaths were laid on the coffin. Special prayers were offered for the departed soul, seeking forgiveness and elevation in ranks for the fallen officer.
They said the sacrifices of police personnel in the line of duty will not go in vain and vowed that efforts to eliminate anti-state elements will continue with full resolve.

Speaking on the occasion, IGP Zulfiqar Hameed and CCPO Qasim Ali Khan extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and assured them that the perpetrators of this heinous act would be apprehended and brought to justice soon.
