PPA steps up relief efforts for flood-affected families in Buner, Bajaur

BUNER: On the request of Advisor on Health Ihtisham Ali, senior leaders of the Pakistan Pediatric Association (PPA), including Dr. Syed Bawar Shah, President PPA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Prof. Mohammad Aqeel Khan, and Prof. Rifayat Ullah Khan, visited Buner to assess the condition of flood-affected families. PPA General Secretary Dr. Athar Khaliley, a pediatric neurologist, is also on his way to Buner with relief items. The association, while primarily focused on children’s health, has pledged continued support for wider community needs until complete rehabilitation is achieved. A dedicated local PPA team in Buner, including Dr. Ateq, Dr. Amjad, Dr. Hamid, Dr. Arif, and Dr. Jehanger, are actively engaged in providing health and welfare services to affected families. Similarly, PPA teams have been assisting internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Bajaur. Dr. Tahir, Executive Member and Associate Professor at Lady Reading Hospital, recently visited the area with local PPA members Dr. Liaqat, Dr. Khurshed Roshan, and Dr. Mushtaq to support children’s health.
