LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notice to PTA and others and sought reply from them on the petition seeking ban on use of face book and tik tok by tender aged children. Chief Justice (CJ) Aalia Neelum took up for hearing petition filed by citizen Azam Butt Tuesday. The petitioner had taken plea tender aged children watch inappropriate material on face book and tik tok and due to it their educational activities are being affected. CJ LHC remarked system is there on social media and access of children to material can be restricted. Parents can check their children access to social media. Moving to the counsel she said parents are having such access in abroad too. Moving to Additional Attorney General (AAG) CJ LHC inquired what will you say in this regard. The state counsel replied they have made wrong respondent in the petition. Government of Pakistan should have been made respondent. The CJ LHC remarked if they have sent application to PTA then this may be ascertained from them and the court be informed thereof.
