Commissioner and DCs urges parents to protect children
Kohat: Authorities in the entire Kohat Division today launched a 2-week nationwide measles and rubella (MR) vaccination campaign, urging parents to ensure their children receive the life-saving shots between 17 and 29 November 2025. Kohat Division Commissioner Syed Motasim Billah Shah called on parents to take the campaign seriously, warning that measles and rubella spread rapidly and can pose severe risks to vulnerable children. He said protecting children’s health is a “shared responsibility” and essential for a stronger future. Special vaccination teams have been deployed across schools, hospitals, basic health units and outreach points to ensure broad coverage. The district-level drive was formally inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Rahimullah Mehsud alongside officials from the district administration, health department and police.
