CCPO praises journalists’ role in societal reform, assures support for PPC

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed has highlighted the critical role of journalists in societal reform, describing them as the voice of the oppressed through fact-based reporting.
He shared these views while visiting the Peshawar Press Club (PPC) on Thursday, where he congratulated the newly elected cabinet of the club.
During his visit, Dr. Saeed Ahmed met with the new leadership of the PPC, which includes President M. Riaz, Vice President Ziaul Haq, General Secretary Alamgir Khan, Finance Secretary Irshad Ali Khan, Joint Secretary Gulzar Khan, and Governing Body members Shamim Shahid, Kashifuddin Syed, Ibrahim Khan, Arif Yousafzai, Shahzada Fahd, Shah Faisal, Saiful Islam Saifi, Nasir Hussain, Shakeel Siddiqui, and Irfan Khan. The CCPO extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for their success in their new roles.
Mian Saeed also discussed the ongoing efforts of the police to combat crime and maintain law and order in Peshawar.
He assured that the police would spare no effort in taking action against criminals and would utilize Interpol to apprehend those who have fled the city to ensure they face justice.
In his address, the CCPO emphasized the KP Police’s commitment to a strict system of self-accountability, which includes both rewards for outstanding performance and disciplinary measures for officers and officials with criminal associations.
Dr. Saeed reaffirmed the Capital City Police Peshawar’s continued support for the journalist community and their efforts to address any concerns in the public interest.
