Secretary assured support for the timely completion of the projects

Secretary Planning and Development Department (P&D) Adeel Shah visited major ongoing health sector development projects in Hazara Division to review progress and ensure their timely completion, a handout said.
During the visit, the Secretary inspected the project for the upgradation of Category-D Hospital to Category-C Hospital in Ghazi and the construction of the Women and Children Hospital in Haripur.
He reviewed the pace and quality of construction work, expressed satisfaction over the overall progress, but stressed the need to further accelerate work to meet stipulated timelines.
The officers briefed the Secretary on project details, progress, and challenges.
Director General Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Usman Zaman, Deputy Commissioner Haripur Waseem Ahmed, Divisional Monitoring Officer (DMO) Hazara Syed Ali Raza Shah, and other relevant officers were also present.
Secretary Adeel Shah directed the concerned departments and implementing agencies to expedite construction, strictly adhere to approved designs and schedules, and immediately address shortcomings identified during the inspection.
He also emphasized improving facilities in the existing hospital buildings until the completion of new infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted and better healthcare services for the public.
The Secretary assured full support from the Planning and Development Department for the timely completion of the projects, stating that the provincial government was committed to strengthening the health sector and enhancing access to quality healthcare facilities, particularly for women and children.
