LAHORE
Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has declared 7 PTI leaders including Hammad Azhar, Zubair Khan Niazi proclaimed offenders. May 9 Club chowk GOR Gate attack case came up for hearing before judge Manzar Ali Gill Friday. The court wile declaring 7 accused including former federal minister Hammad Azhar and Zubair Khan Niazi proclaimed offenders has issued their perpetual arrest warrants. These accused have deliberately absconded. The court issued perpetual arrest warrants of Akbar Khan, Masood Ahmad Subhani, Arsalan son of Basharat, Farooq Anjum and Habib Ahmad as well.
According to state counsel the accused were given time to appear in the court but they did not appear. The accused did not appear in the court despite issuance of their arrest warrants.
The accused have absconded for fear of arrest.
It is pertinent to mention here case against the accused was registered in police station Race Course. Some of the accused in the case have been convicted and sentenced while the trial of the proclaimed offenders will be conducted in second phase.
