The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering Fazal Shakoor Khan on Wednesday presided over an important meeting regarding the ongoing and proposed developmental schemes and the effective utilization of funds of the PHE department.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Public Health Engineering, Masood Younas, and the Director Technical.
In the meeting a detailed briefing was given on the ongoing Public Health Engineering schemes in various districts of the province. The briefing covered the current progress of the projects, completion status, challenges being faced, and the utilization of allocated funds.
The Provincial Minister was informed that several important schemes related to the provision of clean drinking water and sanitation in multiple districts are in the final stages of completion, while some projects require further acceleration in the pace of work. The meeting also identified slow-moving projects and practical proposals were presented to ensure their timely completion.
On this occasion, Provincial Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan directed the officers concerned to expedite work on all developmental schemes and ensure their completion within the stipulated timelines.
He emphasized that the provision of clean drinking water and basic facilities to the public is among the top priorities of the provincial government, and no negligence or delay will be tolerated in this regard.
The Provincial Minister further stressed the importance of transparent and timely utilization of funds and directed that monitoring of all projects be made more effective to achieve development targets. He instructed the concerned officers to conduct regular field visits to personally oversee the quality and progress of ongoing schemes.
He said that the Public Health Engineering Department is utilizing all available resources to implement public welfare projects across the province and will continue to take all possible measures for the resolution of public issues.
