PESHAWAR: All academic activities at the University of Peshawar (UoP) have been suspended after the teachers’ organization announced a complete boycott starting on Monday, following the failure of the university administration to meet their demands. According to the University of Peshawar Teachers Association (PUTA), no progress has been made by the Vice Chancellor regarding the convening of the Selection Board meeting and implementation of necessary steps under the Universities Act. As a result, the teachers have decided to withdraw from all teaching responsibilities. PUTA has urged all its members to strictly follow the boycott decision. The association also clarified that the university administration will be responsible for any consequences arising from the situation. Parent and students warn that if the issue is not resolved soon, it may negatively impact the academic future of students and further worsen the ongoing administrative crisis at the University of Peshawar.
