CM aide seeks faster completion of projects in Kohat

An important meeting chaired by the Chief Minister’s Special Assistant for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Kohat to review ongoing and proposed development projects and the overall improvement of urban infrastructure in the city, a handout said.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz Wazir, Additional Deputy Commissioner (F&P) Amir Ali Shah, Chief Engineer KPCIP, representatives of SNGPL, officials of the Urban Area Development Authority and focal person of MNA Shehryar Afridi, Qasim Zubair.
Participants held detailed discussions on the roads construction and rehabilitation, gas pipeline installation, drainage systems, urban beautification, provision of basic civic amenities and the pace and quality of various development schemes in Kohat. Issues related to inter-departmental coordination, public complaints and obstacles delaying ongoing projects were also reviewed.
Addressing the meeting, Special Assistant Shafi Jan directed all the relevant departments to work with close coordination and an integrated strategy to avoid delays and ensure timely, effective and sustainable solutions to public issues.
Jan said the improvement of urban facilities was a top priority of the provincial government in line with the Chief Minister’s directives, adding that negligence or inefficiency in development work in an important city like Kohat would not be tolerated.
The meeting concluded with a review of key proposals, assignment of clear responsibilities with defined timelines and instructions to ensure immediate implementation of decisions aimed at accelerating development and improving the civic services for the residents of Kohat.
