Policy board delegation reviews services at HMC Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A high-level Policy Board delegation, headed by its Chairman Prof. Noshirwan Burki, paid an official visit to Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) Peshawar to review the institution’s medical, administrative and operational performance. According to a statement, the visit aimed at undertaking a comprehensive assessment of patient care standards, service delivery mechanisms, compliance with health regulations and implementation of institutional policies. The delegation conducted detailed inspections of inpatient wards, outpatient departments (OPDs), Accident and Emergency, diagnostic units, operation theatres and other allied facilities to evaluate efficiency, cleanliness and overall patient-centred care. During the visit, Prof Burki held meetings with faculty members, consultants, TMOs, students, deans and members of the Board of Governors. Discussions focused on institutional performance, academic standards, training environment and quality of healthcare services. The chairman appreciated the efforts of the hospital administration and medical staff, terming their commitment to strengthening patient care and improving institutional performance as commendable.
