Under the supervision of Commissioner Peshawar Division, Riaz Khan Mehsud, the recruitment process for doctors in Peshawar Division has formally commenced with interviews for dental surgeons starting on April 18 and continuing until April 21.
According to the Commissioner Office on Monday, to ensure a transparent and merit-based recruitment process, five separate panels have been constituted. These panels are conducting interviews of candidates on a daily basis. The Commissioner personally visited the panels overseeing the recruitment process and reviewed the facilities being provided to candidates appearing for interviews.
He directed the concerned authorities to ensure that all applicants are provided with the best possible facilities and that the recruitment process remains fully transparent, impartial and strictly merit-based. On this occasion, Riaz Khan Mehsud stated that after the completion of the dental surgeons’ recruitment, immediate steps will be taken to appoint medical officers in order to address the shortage of healthcare staff in the region.
To ensure the timely and efficient completion of the recruitment process, weekly offs and other holidays of the relevant staff have been temporarily suspended so that the interviews can continue without interruption.
He further emphasized that the government is committed to providing quality healthcare services to the public and recruiting competent and qualified doctors is a top priority.
