PESHAWAR
The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has appointed Dr. Azhar Rashid as Chief of Oncology Services, strengthening its medical and radiation services across its cancer care network in Karachi and Sukkur.
Dr. Rashid, an experienced clinical and radiation oncologist, holds expertise in medical oncology, radiation oncology and stereotactic radiosurgery.
He has an MSc. in Oncology from the University of Nottingham, UK, and is an FCPS qualified oncologist, says a press release.
In his new role, Dr. Rashid will oversee SIUT’s medical and radiation oncology services across its cancer service line, covering facilities from Karachi to Sukkur. He will primarily be based at the Mehrunnisa Medical Complex in Karachi.
With his experience in different areas of oncology, Dr. Rashid will contribute to the further development of cancer treatment services at SIUT, while supporting the institution’s commitment to providing quality healthcare free of cost with dignity and without any discrimination.
