KARACHI: Pakistani actress Sehar Hashmi has clarified that her earlier social media post, which prompted speculation about alleged cold behaviour on the set of the television drama Zanjeerain, was not directed at actor Danyal Zafar or any of her co-stars. Speaking during an interview on a YouTube talk show, Sehar Hashmi said the post had been misunderstood. She explained that the cast had been filming in extremely cold weather and that the demanding nature of the drama had affected the overall mood on set. ONLINE
The actress said she shared a good working relationship with fellow cast members, including Sajal Aly, Danyal Zafar, Raza, Anaya and Momal. She added that Sajal Aly had personally called to appreciate her performance and expressed her willingness to work with both Sajal Aly and Danyal Zafar again if suitable projects arise.
Addressing speculation about Danyal Zafar, Sehar Hashmi said she respects him and clarified that the issue mentioned in her post was not related to her co-stars, the director or the producers.
She explained that her remarks referred to the behaviour of a few individuals working behind the scenes and that she later removed the caption after it generated unnecessary discussion on social media.
The actress also said that comments made by female actors are often interpreted differently from those made by male actors, adding that she preferred to avoid negative attention.
