Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Khyber, Noorwali Khan visited Headquarter Hospital, Landi Kotal on Friday and observed health facilities provided for the ailing masses of the tribal society.
Flanked by Assistant Commissioner (AC)Landi Kotal Akbar Iftekhar,Tehsildar Daud Afridi and other officials,the district inspected various sections and Outdoor Patient Departments(OPDs) of the health center and checked the attendance register of the health staff.
Medical Superintendent (MS) of the hospital Dr Ihtesham briefed him of the facilities available in the health center to facilitate the ailing people at their door steps.
ADC Noorwali Khan urged the MS to initiate all measures to provide quality health curing to the locals.
On complaint, he asked the MS to ban private practice inside the hospital premises and bring to book those health staff who are found guilty.
The district official paid a visit to Landi Kotal Bazaar and reviewed prices of the vegetable, fruits, beef, chicken and other edibles commodities.
He stressed upon the consumers to check price lists of goods, provided to every single shopkeeper by the local administration before buying it.
Lodge complaint with the administrative office if any profiteer charges extra rate, contrary to official price and he will be dealt with as per law.
He also examined Sasta Bazaar, a utility store and checked prices and quality of different commodities.
He expressed satisfaction over the price and quality control mechanism of food items by the Landi Kotal administration and urged them to have vigilance over the market to make possible provision of edibles on economic prices in the holy month of Ramadan.
ADC, Noorwali Khan visited Landi Kotal press club and interacted with members of the local journalist community.
He insisted them to join hands with them to discourage hoarder and profiteer elements in the Bazaar and report grievances of the residents so that they can be addressed on time.
