Agreement signed to strengthen primary healthcare in KP

In order to improve basic health services, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department’s Primary Healthcare Reforms Project has signed an agreement with Green Star Social Marketing Pakistan to enhance primary healthcare facilities across the province.
The agreement was signed under a strategic public-private partnership aimed at strengthening primary healthcare centers, addressing human resource shortages, and improving the quality of medical services. Through this collaboration, improved access to quality healthcare will be provided to communities across the province.
Under the agreement, Green Star Social Marketing Pakistan will assist the Health Department in deploying trained medical staff at selected health centers operating under the Primary Healthcare Reforms Project, while also supporting effective and efficient service delivery.
The agreement-signing ceremony was held at the health secretariat. Dr. Syed Aziz Al-Rab, Chief Executive Officer of Green Star Social Marketing Pakistan, and Dr. Ikramullah Khan, Project Director of the Primary Healthcare Reforms Project, formally signed the agreement.
Provincial health minister Mian Khaliq-ur-Rehman and Health Secretary Shahidullah Khan were present on the occasion. Senior management of Green Star Social Marketing Pakistan and high-ranking officials of the health department also attended the ceremony.
Speakers termed the initiative a major step toward strengthening the provincial health system and reaffirmed their commitment to improving primary healthcare services for the people of KP.
