AIG Gender Equality Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police Ayesha Gul on Thursday held meeting with representatives of transgender persons and discussed in detail thier problems.
SP City Atiq Shah was also present on this occasion.
On the occasion, AIG Ayesha Gul said that women and children including transgenders were the deprived section of the society whose problems and difficulties will be solved on priority basis.
Ayesha Gul further said that every effort would be made to ensure protection of fundamental rights of eunuchs and make them useful citizens of the society. Are taking practical steps to meet the difficulties and needs facing.
She said that for the first time in the history of the country, gender equality was post-created in the police department and assured that this unit would prove to be a milestone in solving the problems and difficulties of the weaker sections.
