ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has issued a strong clarification and disassociated itself completely from a fake recruitment advertisement recently circulating on social media. The university has warned the public that an unauthorized entity, operating under the name “Join OTS,” is misleading people by issuing fraudulent advertisements in AIOU’s name, said a press release here on Sunday. The university has made it explicitly clear that this organization has no affiliation with AIOU, nor has it been authorized in any capacity to represent or conduct recruitment on the university’s behalf. AIOU stressed that it has not posted any job or recruitment advertisements on social media. All recruitment by the university is conducted solely through official channels, including the university’s official website, credible newspapers, and formal notifications. AIOU expressed serious concerns over the misuse of its name and reputation by “Join OTS” and announced that legal action has already been initiated in this matter. The public is strongly urged to exercise caution and avoid dealing with such fraudulent entities. Individuals are advised to rely only on the university’s official sources before submitting any information or applications. DNA
