PTI founder Imran Khan’s sisters Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, who had been arrested during party’s protest in Islamabad with several other workers, were presented before a duty magistrate in a local court in the federal capital on Sunday. Asad Qaiser’s brother Adnan Khan was also presented in the court. The police requested 20-days physical remand of the arrested individuals. The duty magistrate Azhar Nadeem, after hearing the arguments, approved one-day physical remand of both Aleema and Uzma, and sent other female PTI workers on 9-day judicial remand.
The two sisters and other PTI workers had been arrested from D-Chowk against charges of terrorism, interference in state affairs, attempted murder and other, on Friday.
