Capital City Police Officer(CCPO) Syed Ashfaq Anwar on Tuesday held a detailed meeting with business community representatives and assured them a sound environment for their business activities in the provincial capital.
The trader body led by Tajer Insaf Organization, Insaf Organization President Shahid Khan, General Secretary Mian Syed Badshah, Chairman Salam Shahpur, Naib Wali Muhammad, Gul Reez and other officials were present in the meeting.
CCPOon the occasion said that protection of property and lives of the business community was the topmost priority of the police force.He said that all religious festivals including Muharram, Eid, Rabi-ul-Awwal and other events business community cooperation was important for law enforcement agencies.
Police force is the true servant of the people associated with business in Peshawar; he said and added that self-respectand using all available resources would be ensured for security purposes. During the meeting, the checking of unregistered tenants, prevention of ice addiction and other social evils were discussed. President Shahid Khan, representing the Tradesmen’s Insaf Organization, informed the CCPO about the problems faced by the traders and some suggestions were also presented.
Syed Ashfaq Anwar issued instructions to control drug pushing in the provincial capital, adding that Police has launched a systematic and comprehensive crackdown against the accused involved in street crimes.
Trade body expressed their satisfaction over the steps taken by the police to establish law and order in the city.
