A delegation from the Muttahida Aman Committee led by Maulana Hussain Ahmed Madani met SSP Operations Peshawar Farhan Khan on Wednesday.
The meeting, held at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines, saw SPC City Shahid Adnan in attendance.
SSP Farhan Khan lauded the committee role in promoting interfaith harmony and praised Peshawar’s tradition of respecting diverse religious and sectarian beliefs. He noted that security around religious sites, including minority communities, had been bolstered amid current circumstances. Khan also highlighted ongoing crackdowns on criminals, land grabbers, drug peddlers, and illegal activities.
Maulana Madani presented proposals on improving security and expressed satisfaction with police efforts, assuring full cooperation. The meeting concluded with a prayer for the nation’s peace and stability.
The delegation included Haji Fareed Gul, Maulana Mirajuddin Sarkani, Haji Noriargul, Gopal Durga Pandit, Haji Shah Wali, Haji Farhad Ahmad Sarraf, Haji Shahpur, Javed Ahmad Awan, Khurshid Akhunzada, Inamullah Qadri, Gopal Singh, Iqbal Bhatti Masih, and Haji Tahir Khan.
