Annual Bazm-e-Urdu Adab ceremony held at Jinnah College for Women

An annual literary ceremony was held the other day at Jinnah College for Women under the auspices of Bazm-e-Urdu Adab, featuring speech competitions on various topics. The chief guest of the prestigious event was renowned literary figure Bushra Farrukh, author of twenty-five books and recipient of the Pride of Performance Award for her literary and creative services.
Under the leadership of Bazm-e-Adab in-charge Dr. Saadia Khalid, the students demonstrated remarkable talent and enthusiasm. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Naat in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), after which the speech competition commenced. Sixteen students participated in the contest, and certificates along with books were presented to those securing first, second, and third positions. The event also featured a soulful rendition of Allama Iqbal’s famous poem Shikwa, while selected scenes from the renowned drama Anarkali were presented, receiving great appreciation from the audience. Expressing her views, the chief guest Bushra Farrukh congratulated the winning students, appreciated the passion and dedication of all participants, and commended the organizers for successfully hosting the program.
