Awami National Party (ANP) provincial president Aimal Wali Khan on Thursday over non-payment of Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) employees salaries, saying more than 4500 employees were still waiting for their salaries but the provincial government has observed pin drop silence over the issue.
It is a matter of concerned for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government as its employees working without salaries, adding that non-availability of funds and salaries indicated that ruling party has brought the provincial at the brink of collapse financially.
“4500 employees of sanitation services are protesting in Peshawar and the provincial government is silent. It is a matter of 4500 families and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government should at least negotiate with them,”.
Aimal Wali Khan maintained that Chief Minister Mahmood Khan was making announcements of mega projects at different districts only for political scoring and in reality he has no funds to pay salaries of government employees.
“The fact is that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been ruling the province for 10 years and it would be held responsible for mismanagement and it had bankrupted the province,” ANP leader alleged.
Unfortunately, the PTI government is only busy in bringing Imran Khan to the chair of the Prime Minister, Amil Wali added.
It is hoped that the process of accountability against PTI will not be limited to Toshakhana, all cases should be opened, he added.
