Mayor Mardan, Himayatullah Mayar said that Awami National Party (ANP) understands that the solution of the problems of the people of Pakistan and the stability and survival of the state is in permanent and continuous rule of people and rule of law. In a press statement issued here Himayatullah Mayar said that the Awami National Party has always done anti-establishment politics and has never accepted the role of the establishment in politics.
He argued that for this reason, they face hardships of imprisonment, properties have been confiscated and elections have been defeated by fraudulent means and the mandate of the ANP has been changed more and more frequently.
He added that there is a media blackout for the Awami National Party even in the current situation. He argued that because of which ANP message, manifesto and response on issues are largely hidden from the public, which is anti-democratic behavior against ANP.
He added that the current major parties are the products of dictatorship and the change of their behavior requires objective conditions. He added that the ANP war and policy against terrorism has saved Pakistan from falling into the hands of terrorists and ANP has sacrificed more than 1300 of its leaders and workers to end terrorism from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and a large number of leaders and workers have been injured.
He added that ANP never befriended the terrorists and did not give them houses and offices while some political and religious parties have made him friends, adopted his ideas and are also providing facilities.
Himayatullah Mayar added that ANP has also played a central role in the constitution amendments in the Constitution of Pakistan to ensure federal parliamentary democracy and provincial autonomy.
He added that ANP has gained provincial autonomy through the 18th amendment and has gained authority over the natural resources in the province and 18 departments and divisions have been transferred to the provinces, financial and administrative powers have been transferred to the provinces on a large scale.
He argued that through the NFC award, the share of the provinces in the federal financial revenues has been increased from 40 percent to 60 percent. He added that it has also achieved central tax and royalty on electricity net profit and oil and gas, thus stabilizing the financial position of the province and due to which a university or university campus has been established in every district of the province.
He argued that colleges for boys and girls were doubled and the numbers of schools were increased in a large number and work has started on energy projects. He added that ANP established new hospitals and upgraded old hospitals and clean water and irrigation projects have been completed.
Mayar added that ANP improved social services and rescue 1122 services have been introduced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He argued that major roads, bypasses and ring roads have been constructed.
He added that ANP have provided exemplary service to the victims of military operations and earthquake and flood and have provided financial assistance, arrangements and services by playing an exemplary role to resettle them in their homes.
He added that all these projects were pushed back by the 9-year government of PTI and did not make any progress in it and did not get constitutional financial and administrative rights from the central government although PTI remained in power in the center from 2018 to 2022. He added that PTI has increased the total debt of the province from 97 billion to 1000 billion.
He added that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has been continuously neglected by former Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and caretaker government. He added that if ANP gets a second term of government from 2013 to 2018, then Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would have surpassed all the provinces of Pakistan in development and prosperity and the province would have become self-sufficient in every field.
He argued that because Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been blessed by Allah Almighty with abundant natural resources and its geographical importance is also certain.
ANP has a comprehensive plan and strategy to utilize all these resources and geography for the development and prosperity of the people of the province. This is mentioned in the ANP election manifesto “Ranra”. He argued that the election manifesto can be viewed on various social media channels associated with ANP.
He added that the axis of the manifesto includes positive revolutionary change and development on modern scientific bases in all economic, social, cultural and legal fields for peace, development and prosperity. Authority over all resources and the development of all human and natural resources and its use for the development and prosperity of the people is a sacred struggle of the party.
