Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa says Indian ceasefire violations are attempts to divert world attention from their atrocities against innocent Kashmiris in Occupied Kashmir.
Addressing the officers and troops at Lahore Garrison on Friday, he said that Pakistan Army and Rangers are fully prepared for befitting response to any misadventure from across the Line of Control.
The Army Chief expressed satisfaction over operational preparedness and lauded the Punjab Ranger’s response to the ongoing ceasefire violations along Working Boundary by Indian troops.
He said the nation acknowledges and fully supports the armed forces’ contribution in fight against terrorism and militancy.
He said we will always come up to the expectations of the people of Pakistan who are our real strength.
Earlier, the Army Chief laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada at the Garrison.
Mean while Chief of the Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and exchanged views on matters pertaining to national and regional security.
In the meeting held at PM House here Tuesday, the Army Chief and Prime Minister also reviewed situation at country’s borders.
General Bajwa also took Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif into confidence over Operation Zarb-e-Azb and other counter terrorism actions continuing across the country.
