Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, describing it as an irreplaceable loss not only for the Bilour family but for the entire national movement.
Khan praised Bilour’s unwavering commitment to public service and democratic values, highlighting his significant role in every phase of the national struggle.
He noted that Ilyas Bilour remained steadfast in his loyalty to the party, demonstrating immense courage and resilience, even in the most challenging circumstances. Whether during periods of dictatorship or the war on terrorism, Bilour’s determination never faltered.
Khan emphasized that with Bilour’s death, a huge void has been created in the political landscape of Peshawar, one that will be difficult to fill.
His sacrifices in defending the principles of nationalism and his contributions to politics will be remembered for generations.
Asfandyar Khan prayed for the deceased’s soul to be granted a high place in Jannat al-Firdous and offered condolences to the bereaved Bilour family, praying for their strength and patience during this difficult time.
